1. Receives user request for assistance for assistance via a helpdesk ticketing system, prioritizes, and carries issues to resolution before closing the ticket
2. Loads software on and transfers data to new PC/Laptops per instructions
3. Verifies data backups and delivers backup tape copies to off-site storage vendor as required.
4. Trains users on generic applications as well as specialized applications
5.Create and maintain accurate documentation of network components
6. Has good understanding of Microsoft products and Cisco Devices (routers, switches, IOS)
7. Troubleshoots networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties
8. Supports remote users and sites as required
9. Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems as pertaining to job functions
10. Performs miscellaneous administrative or manual job-related duties as assigned.

 

1.Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange 2003, and other Microsoft products
2.Ability to install, configure, and maintain personal computers, servers, and/or related hardware and software
3.Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
4.Understanding of Cisco IOS. Cisco CATOS and Cisco PIX OS
5.Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise
6.Ability to identify and resolve computer malfunctions and operational problems
7.Skill in organizing workload and establishing priorities.
